  • The minimum download speed for 2G is 20 Kbps while for 3G it's 256 Kbps subject to various factors such as the number of subscribers browsing the data services, low coverage area, location of the customer, peak/off time, kind of device is being used, type of application consuming data, website behavior, and other external factors.
  • Tariff as mentioned above in the STVs shall be applicable until the tariff validity expires or recharging of another STV whichever is earlier. Hence, caution is exercised while recharging with STV.
  • The temporary tariff will be applicable as per the last plan/STV voucher activated by the customer. The customer will cease to enjoy any previously activated temporary plans. After the expiry of the active temporary plan, the customer will be reverted back to the base tariff.
  • Available in E-Recharge, Web Recharge & SMS Recharge. To activate, send SMS 'SUB RCH<denomination value>' (e.g.'SUB RCH71') to 444.

  • The benefit of free calling & SMS will be available from the home network and from MTNL Delhi n/w; during roaming other than MTNL Delhi, standard roaming charges will be applicable. The customer will be charged an additional Rs 2/- as a plan activation fee.

  • The benefits of free data usage will be available in the home and national roaming. The data usage is inclusive of both upload and download data. After consumption of free data usage, standard charges @3p/MB will be applicable.
  • Up to 100 SMS per SIM per day, SMS charges will be as per the existing plan. For more than 100 SMS per SIM, SMS charges will be levied for Trump customers as Local SMS: 50p, National: Rs 1 & ISD: Rs 5.
  • All call charges are applicable from the home network only. Roaming charges apply when roaming outside the home network.

Black Out Day Information : MTNL Blackout Days are like other normal days. Customers availing of SMS packs will continue to avail the benefits of their respective packs. No extra charges will be levied on Free SMS these days. For details please click here

Recharge process for Prepaid Mobile

  1. Follow any of these steps to recharge your mobile with Paper Coupon -
    • Dial *444*16-digit-PIN# from Prepaid Mobile Number on which recharge is to be done.
      -or-
    • Dial 444 from Prepaid Mobile Number on which recharge to be done and follow the IVR instructions
      -or-
    • Write "SCR 16-digit-PIN" in a write message box and send it to 444
      -or-

  2. To recharge from the existing balance in the customer's mobile account(STV/Data/Validity Coupon) -
    • Dial *444# from the Prepaid Mobile Number on which recharge is to be done. Select menu option 4, then sub-option 1, and follow the instructions.

    • Write "SUB RCHxx" in a message box and send it to 444 (where xx will be the denomination of the pack)
      e.g. To subscribe to 3G Data pack 99, send SMS “SUB RCH99” to 444 / To subscribe to STV 153, send SMS “SUB RCH153” to 444

  3. To know current STV and freebies available in the account -
