International Roaming
Now enjoy GPRS roaming in 35 countries and 3G roaming in 26 Countries
MTNL is providing International Roaming on its GSM cellular Mobile services in more than 145 countries world-wide covering all the major countries of the World.

International Roaming is being provided by MTNL using Normal SIM card and Dual SIM card.

Using Normal SIM
|
MTNL is providing International Roaming directly in 145 countries in association with its Roaming partner in these countries. Dolphin customers can use the International roaming facility in these countries using both normal SIM card and Dual SIM card provided by MTNL after activation of ISD & international roaming facility in their SIM.

Using Dual IMSI SIM card:
|
Dual IMSI SIM card is like a normal SIM card except that it has been embedded with two IMSIs. Dual IMSI SIM card contains an extra 'Menu' item for Roaming in it i.e. Menu > Dolphin > Roaming > MTNL
|
Customers are advised to call on 1503 for more information. The customer will have to get in touch with a nearby CSC and pay a security deposit for activation of international roaming facility.

Usage Charging

Voice/SMS
|
All voice calls viz. incoming and outgoing (including calls to MTNL Customer Care) are chargeable while you are overseas. The call charges are completely operator dependent and are in general charged for a 60 second pulse. The SMS is charged for 160 characters per outgoing SMS (For example, in case of an SMS of 170 characters, it will be treated as 2 SMSs).

GPRS/Data
|
The charges for GPRS/Data usages are calculated in terms of the Volume of data sent or received. As with the Voice / SMS, charges here are variable and completely dependent on foreign operators. Also note that your local plans for GPRS/
Blackberry are not valid overseas and all data usages are charges at the visited operator rates.

Blackberry Usage
|
When roaming abroad, receiving and sending mails adds to the data usage and is charged accordingly.
